Lau-Lynn Leather was formally registered as an independent company in 2007.

 

We originally grew as a division of Lau-Lynn Marketing, a leading Motorola two way radio dealer. In supplying radios, it became apparent that there was a need for an affordable, adaptable, locally manufactured carrying solution, specifically designed for the needs of the South African environment.

We are able to supply cases for any brand of radio, both to dealers and directly to end users.

 

Our end users include: 

• Government departments                 (Eskom, SAPS, Transtel, Correctional Services)

• Mines                                                  (Exxaro, Anglo American)

• Petrochemical Industry                        (Sasol, Petro SA)

• Security industry 

 

We are also currently the only local company supplying intrinsically safe carrying solutions as per Sasol’s requirements. 

 

We have incorporated various features into our designs for both the protection of the device and the safety of the user.

 

We are constantly developing and expanding our product range, adapting to new handset technology as well as improving user friendliness.

Two of our unique solutions are our swivel clips and docks and our three point shoulder harness.

We also supply solutions for touch screen devices.

 

To date, we have manufactured and supplied in excess of 500 000 cases to the industry. Our largest single order was placed to supply Alcom Radio and EMCOM with 12 000 carry cases, complete with breakaway railway jackets, as per Transtel tender requirements. 

Our current manufacturing capacity is between 200 and 300 carry cases per day, depending on the design.
